Revealing My Grace: A list of things I learned in college unrelated to my degree: →
I often get depressed when I apply to jobs outside of my degree. I have something around over $50k in loans to pay off (and that was with A LOT of help from my parents AND free housing for 3 years).
It kills me to think I “wasted” 4 years, so here are the things I learned how to do in college:
- Use public transportation
- Cook
- Drink responsibly
- Read nutrition labels
- Exercise regularly
- Bargain shop
- Budget
- Actually make my hair look good
- Write a resume & cover letter
- Go on a job interview
- Make lifelong friends
- Grocery shop for one
- Use coupons
- Give myself a manicure
- Send packages out at the post office
- Organize events
- Speak in front of very large groups
- Make fun of myself
- Let loose/not be too uptight
- Take care of a drunk person
- Take care of myself when i am sick
- Not lose my cool, even in some very difficult situations
- Shop online
